Overview
To support the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service in promoting U.S. food and agricultural exports by facilitating meaningful connections between U.S. exporters and African importers through a Reverse Trade Mission to the National Restaurant Association Show—enhancing market access, generating international sales opportunities, and strengthening long-term trade relationships across the agri-food value chain.
Approach
- Developed comprehensive buyer profiles for all international delegates and executed strategic matchmaking with U.S. companies exhibiting at the National Restaurant Association Show.
- Oversaw full logistical coordination for the showcase, including transportation, interpretation, venue selection, catering, accommodations, AV services, site tours of U.S. businesses, and a cultural excursion.
- Created a suite of visual assets including collateral, signage, marketing material and mobile app graphics tailored for international outreach.
- Delivered bilingual strategic communications across email, mobile app, and WhatsApp to ensure timely, clear, and inclusive information delivery for all participants.
Results
The USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) hosted the “USA – Africa Showcase” at the National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, IL from May 17-21. Davis Management Group supported the successful execution of the showcase, which brought together 70 delegates from 13 different African countries and offered the delegates the opportunity to discover exciting new products, create business connections with key suppliers, and make invaluable connections with U.S. companies. During the showcase, the delegates received first-hand education about business conditions in the U.S. through educational seminars, a site visit, and networking with participants.
