Overview
To support the National Science Foundation’s Spring Grants Conference return to a hybrid format for the first time since 2019 by providing comprehensive logistical and audiovisual support that would enable seamless delivery of critical NSF topics to a national audience of researchers, faculty, and administrators. The event held on June 3-5 in Philadelphia, PA at the Marriott Old City
Approach
- Delivered end-to-end logistical coordination and audiovisual production for the 3-day hybrid
- Supported both in-person and virtual experiences to ensure accessibility and high-quality engagement for a wide-ranging audience.
- Managed on-site execution, technical support, and virtual streaming to facilitate smooth delivery of sessions covering funding opportunities, proposal and award processes, and policy updates.
- Collaborated with NSF stakeholders to adapt content delivery for both physical and digital formats without compromising quality or reach.
Results
The Spring 2024 NSF Grants Conference welcomed 1,822 total attendees, which marked a successful return. Attendees represented 595 institutions with 116 minority-serving institutions across the country.
Highlights from the event include:
- The conference met or exceeded expectations for 87% of in-person and 94% of virtual attendees
- 98% of survey respondents reported increase knowledge as a result of attending the conference with an average of 75% noting they felt more equipped to submit proposals
